The snow and wind resistance of lightweight halls.
Under construction law, lightweight halls can be treated as either temporary structures or structures requiring a building permit.
Clients purchasing a lightweight hall can bring the formal and legal procedures forward by registering the hall as a temporary structure for a utilisation period of 120 days (in Poland). In this period, you can register the storage tent on the basis of a building permit as a storage hall, permanently attached to the ground.
The PN-EN 13782 standard regarding temporary tent structures specifies a maximum roof load with snow with a value of 0.2kN/m2 i.e. about 20kg/m\sup>2.
Pol-Plan supplies lightweight halls as all-year structures of many years’ standing (utilisation period at least 10 years) pursuant to the PN-80/B-02010 standard.
Construction law in Poland, the EU, and in the whole world marks off snow and wind geographical zones delineating the required structure resistance to wind and snow loads.
In every case, Pol-Plan adapts the lightweight hall construction to the requirements of the provisions related to the facility’s location in a given zone.
The entire range of lightweight halls is based on a resistant construction made of aluminium sections.
Lightweight halls built in accordance with standards commensurate with many-years building structures make clients feel safe, unlike lightweight halls designed exclusively as temporary structures.
We have built lightweight halls with a maximum snow-load capacity of up to 350 kg/m2 for clients from Norway and Sweden.
